The Tanakh point to a promised individual, called the Messiah, who will come and rescue his people from oppression, restore Israel’s fortunes, and usher in a Golden Age as he rules humanity with justice and goodness.

Christians and Messianic Jews believe they know the identity of this individual. Other Jews are skeptical, to say the least. Secularists think the whole idea is wishful thinking. Who is right?

Dr. Newman is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at the Biblical Theological Seminary of Hatfield, Pennsylvania and the Director of the Interdisciplinary Biblical Research Institute. He holds a doctorate in theoretical astrophysics from Cornell University and has earned Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology degrees from Biblical Theological Seminary. Dr. Newman is author or co-author of five books on evidences for the Christian faith and on the interaction between science and the Bible. He has also published over a hundred articles in both scientific and theological journals and has made guest appearances on several television shows including A&E’s Mysteries of the Bible.

Friday, 6 pm Shabbat Dinner followed by Dr. Newman, “Yeshua and the Testimony of Prophecy and History”

Saturday, 10 am Worship Services with Drash by Dr. Newman, followed by an Oneg Luncheon and afternoon presentation, “The Star of Bethlehem; A Pointer to Yeshua”
