Shavuot Offering
Ruach Israel congregants sent a Shavuot offering to UMJC in the amount of $672.00. Half the offering went to efforts like Be’ad Chaim, the Israeli pro-life association; projects under the Jerusalem Institute of Justice that help Israeli children, elderly, and holocaust survivors; and Hands of Mercy, offering help to victims of terrorist attacks. The other half of the offering went to support the work of the UMJC in welcoming Messiah home throughout the Jewish world.

Crohns and Colitis Foundation
The 20s and 30s Chavurah raised money and participated in the Crohns and Colitis Foundation Walk this past June. They raised approximately $2,000 for research that will one day find a cure!

Hands of Mercy
Last year's High Holiday offering raised $2,000 for Hands of Mercy, an Israeli charitable organization that serves the victims of terrorist attacks and their families in Israel. To find out more about all that Hands of Mercy is doing, visit: www.israel-handsofmercy.org

Hannah's Hope
Through the encouragement of Teresa Alvarez-Diaz, $500 was raised and donated to Hannah's Hope of All God's Children, a nonprofit orphan care and adoption agency committed to offering help and hope to orphan children of the world.
