What to expect at a Ruach Israel service...
Here at Ruach Israel we love our Written Torah, our Oral Torah and our Living Torah. We love our Jewish people (whom we serve primarily), the nations of the world who have come to know the God of Israel through Messiah Yeshua and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and all of creation. As such, our service is in keeping with the halakhic and thematic structure of our tradition with an eye that sees Messiah Yeshua at the core of its hopes, and the Ruach within which we daven (pray) as working to bring the fullness of the Kingdom of God. We have much singing, times for contemplation, declarations of faith, times for listening, joy, hope, and grandeur all centered in deep abounding love.
At our services you will find yourself in a whirlwind of memories of melodies and texts from experiences in other synagogues combined with implementations that are unique to our community. You will not be able to help being drawn into a sea of Hebrew , the meanings of which will be augmented with English repetitions and/or parallel English translations in our siddur (prayer book). At Ruach Israel , we pray as a community and our service includes interaction with God, as well as with one another.
We hope that your visit to our Synagogue will be multi-faceted and joyful, deepen your relationship to God and community (maybe even ours), and be remembered as an encounter with the Living God.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Benjamin Ehrenfeld, Director of Ritual Life
